Field Day is ham radio’s open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill, and service.

This radio event combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills—all in one event. Field Day has been held annually since 1933 and remains the most popular event in ham radio.

The White Rock Lake Amateur Radio Club, WA5WRL, will host a Field Day station at Dreyfuss Point at White Rock Lake. Multiple radios and antennas will be on display and in use. Come visit, ask questions, and maybe even get on the air!
